We’re kind of in this together because I am working on this at the moment for my production environment too! But this will not affect the clients, since they will still connect to the WI website using HTTPS via the CSG. If so you’re external clients wouldn’t be able to resolve the host name without editing the hosts file as you mentioned. I’m curious because tomorrow night i’m going to move the STA to our xen6 servers, and decomission our 4.0 servers. Windows 7 Windows 7 is faster, more reliable, and makes it easier to do what you want.
