I work at a university where I have no control over the web server and cannot install anything on the web server. This worked for me...thanks! Thanks guies i had same problem and was very frustraited . Clear your temp directory and give it another try. the Asp.net 1.0 approach of precompiling everything. Another common reason is WAWS runs 32bit IIS worker process running on X64 system.

I remember in the past when I got this error that it did the trick. There's supposedly a hotfix for this, but there are reports that this won't actually fix the error.
