Why can a Gnome grapple a Goliath? Haven't seen this in 2010+. Somebody fix it ASAP! :) –now he who must not be named. The Web Site project does all compilation dynamically, which can lead to pages being compiled before others. useful reference

Could Not Load Type Global
Could not load type 'Namespace.[Global]' & different harddrives? I can't understand why this nessesary. If not, then the global.asax is looking for a dll in the wrong bin file.
The only thing that worked was deleting the .sln file, creating a new one, and adding the projects back in one by one. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - Programming - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ share|improve this answer Going in IIS and changing the root of the site to my new directory obviously fixed the problem. Thanks for the tip! –Mr. <%@ Application Codebehind="global.asax.cs" Inherits=" Mvcapplication" Language="c#" %> i cannot build any dll to get the error solved.

I hit this error each time because I tried to access my local code before compiling it. <%@ Application Codebehind="global.asax.cs" Inherits="" Language="c#" %> Build failed. I thought it was perhaps an IIS Express problem so I tried in the inbuilt dev server and am still receiving it after saving a file. I after a little bit discovered that simply building the website before trying to run solved my problem.
