I looked at various places before. Whilst this may not be the case in all instances I did discovered that Gmail certainly spits the dummy when there is an address in your list that already has the Quick and simple to follow! Please help! Source
Repeat this process by re-selecting and re-colouring until you are 100% sure there are no non-blank cells. I use EditPlus 3 it works similarly. Worked for me. Remove your own gmail address...it is very weird...if this is left in the csv file, it will not import.
Recently I have noticed something interesting when I tried to import my vcard contact files into iCloud.
